I’m a developmental editor who helps writers shape their manuscripts into strong, impactful stories. Whether you’re just starting out or polishing a finished draft, I’m here to help.
My experience spans publishing, journalism, and academia, and I love working with authors to bring clarity, imagination, discipline, and heart to their work. When I’m not deep in a manuscript, you can find me running around Philadelphia, working on my own novel, or reading at my favorite coffee shop.
Every project is unique, and exact pricing depends on word count, scope, and timeline. Before we begin, we’ll schedule a discovery call to connect, talk through your project, and make sure we’re a good fit. Manuscript Consultation
Big-picture feedback. A high-level overview of your draft with clear direction for your next steps. Ideal if you’re not ready (or don’t need) a full developmental edit but want guidance on where to strengthen your story. Includes a twenty-minute Zoom call to discuss your project and an editorial letter with big-picture feedback on plot, characters, pacing, and key areas for improvement
Developmental Editing
Deep dive into the story. An in-depth edit focused on your story, from character arcs and plot structure to pacing, style, and world-building. You’ll receive detailed feedback plus specific suggestions for rewriting, expanding, or trimming content. Includes a forty-minute Zoom call, an editorial letter with major feedback points, and in-line comments and suggestions.
Book Coaching
A collaborative, hands-on approach to help you develop your manuscript over time. Perfect if you want guidance while you’re actively writing. I’ll offer feedback on pages as you go, help you work through plot or character challenges, and keep you moving forward with clear goals and next steps. Includes regular check-ins via Zoom, written feedback on submitted work, and email support between sessions.
